Fletcher's Creek Village in Brampton sits at the south end of the larger "Fletcher's" cluster (Creek Village, Meadow, Creek South, and West). For families, the school question is often the deciding factor when picking a home here. Boundaries shift, English Public and Catholic systems compete, French Immersion is in high demand, and a few well-known schools have entry-year wait-lists. Here's what parents need to know in 2026.
School boards serving Fletcher's Creek Village
- Peel District School Board (PDSB) — English Public. Operates the majority of elementary and secondary schools in the area.
- Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board (DPCDSB) — English Catholic.
- Conseil scolaire Viamonde — French Public.
- Conseil scolaire catholique MonAvenir — French Catholic.
The most common search Brampton parents make is "Fletcher's Creek Village school catchment" — and the answer depends on which board you're enrolling under. Use the PDSB school locator or the Dufferin-Peel locator with your exact street address — boundary lines run mid-block in this neighbourhood.

French Immersion — what to know before you buy
FI placements are determined by lottery in Peel and demand far exceeds supply for many Fletcher's catchment schools. Buying a home in Fletcher's Creek Village does not guarantee an FI seat at the nearest school. Common parent pitfalls:
- Registering after the FI window (typically late January for September entry) closes.
- Assuming Grade 1 entry is automatic — it's lottery-allocated and can be at a school several kilometres away.
- Confusing Extended French (Grade 5 entry) with Early French Immersion (Grade 1 entry).
If French Immersion is important for your kids, let me know before we tour homes — I'll prioritize addresses with the best track record of in-catchment placement.
Fraser Institute rankings & EQAO scores
The Fraser Institute publishes annual rankings on a 10-point scale. As a rule of thumb in our area:
- Fletcher's Creek Senior Public consistently rates above the Peel average.
- St. Edmund Campion (both elementary and secondary) is highly competitive.
- French Public/Catholic schools tend to outrank English peers — partly self-selection, partly board investment.
Rankings change yearly — I'll share the most current Fraser numbers and Peel EQAO trend data with any client looking at a specific home.
How school catchment affects home prices in Fletcher's Creek Village
From my own transaction data, homes within walking distance of a 9+ rated school in Fletcher's typically sell 4–7% above neighbourhood average and stay on market 5–9 fewer days. The premium is most pronounced for:
- Detached homes near St. Edmund Campion Secondary.
- Townhomes feeding into Fletcher's Creek Senior Public with French Immersion.
- Properties within the David Suzuki Secondary boundary.
Conversely, homes outside top catchments — even by one block — can be a smart buying opportunity for families flexible on schools, or for buyers without school-age children.
Daycare, before/after school care
Most Fletcher's elementary schools offer YMCA, PLASP, or board-run before/after school care. Spots fill fast each spring — register in March if your child starts JK in September.
